This image captures a poetic moment that speaks volumes about complexities of personal relationships. The juxtaposition of the paths of the river (water) and its rocks, to the railroad tracks (steel) and its wooden ties, is a fitting metaphor for how couples interact. In this photo, the two elements flow side by side in similar directions, but both convey motion differently. I see this unique dichotomy as similar to the differences between men and women. In modern-day life, relationships encompass these differences. Too often, couples find themselves in different orbits. To succeed in love, it's essential to recognize we have differences; and use compromise, honesty, friendship, compassion, and respect as keys to a successful partnership. Let this image serve as a reminder that although love’s journey may have its ups and downs, keep a positive outlook, hold on tight, enjoy the ride, and make the most of every turn and twist along the way.
