This log spotted me from about 50 feet away while hiking at 8,200-foot elevation. 'It' struck me as both physical and spiritual. That continuum is vicariously called the soul, spirit, or mind. So, is this just a hunk of wood? What if we are somehow part of this log ? You can say 'It' (everything) is interconnected. The 'It' is the Air, and Matter, and non-Matter. As Alan Watts proposed, we are all a part of this 'It.' There is no inside of us, and outside of us; it is all one thing. We do not "come into" this world; we come out of it. As the ocean "waves," the universe "peoples." Even though reality may be in disguise, we all coexist as a unified part of everything; it is up to us to recognize it. The problem is that trying to define yourself is like trying to bite your own teeth.
